Fourteen-year-old Amandla Stenberg, along with the Ubuntu Education Fund and WME talent agency hosted a special screening of The Hunger Games for a group of winners on June 29th.
Contestants entered an Ubuntu Fund raffle to enter a chance to win a ticket to the private screening. All proceeds of the raffle went towards the Ubuntu Center in Port Elizabeth, South Africa, where it will be used to give care to children in need in the township.
Ubuntu Education Fund is an organization that has set out to provide support to the children of Port Elizabeth, South Africa to make sure that they are able to have the best chance possible at jobs and education. Ubuntu Education Fund was founded to help the kids of Port Elizabeth stay health and enjoying just being kids.
